The West Who National Museum recently aquired a large ancient fossil to add to its collection.  It is an Acleistoceras which is a genus of the Oncocerid family. This fat caterpiller shaped animal lived in the shallow seas that covered much of North America during the Devonian period, which existed approximately 25 million years ago.  The museum director on a recent trip to Wisconsin, USA purchased the seven pound fossil.  "This is a great item for our ancient artifact collection."
