Ronald Hall Re-Elected as President in Historic 2026 West Who National Elections

WHOVILLE — Citizens of the Republic of West Who have concluded one of the nation's most competitive and widely contested general elections, selecting leaders for the Presidency, Vice Presidency, Senate, regional governorships, and the Mayor of Whoville. The election featured strong voter participation and competitive races across nearly every office, reflecting the continued growth and democratic engagement of the micronation. 

Presidential Election

Incumbent President Ronald Hall won re-election with 39 votes (52%), securing a majority in an exceptionally crowded field of eight candidates.

Final Presidential Results:

  • Ronald Hall — 39 votes (52%)
  • Ellis Wright — 8 votes (10.7%)
  • Iman Darwish — 7 votes (9.3%)
  • Sameer Shaik — 5 votes (6.7%)
  • Konrad Wietrzyński — 5 votes (6.7%)
  • Alexander Seipt — 5 votes (6.7%)
  • Pradhumn Jha — 4 votes (5.3%)
  • Baraka Mtajiri — 2 votes (2.7%)

Hall's victory allows him to continue leading West Who after campaigning on stability, continued national growth, and expanding the nation's international presence.

Vice President

Voters elected John Richard Lowndes as Vice President with a decisive 55 votes (67.1%), defeating Anshif OP, who received 27 votes (32.9%).

Senate Race

The race for the Senate proved to be one of the closest contests on the ballot.

Results included:

  • Asa Ward — 20 votes (26.3%)
  • Alex Rodman — 17 votes (22.4%)
  • Benjamin Windler — 9 votes
  • Nabeel Sardar Kazmi — 8 votes
  • Dhairya Chahal — 8 votes
  • Mohammad Iqbal — 7 votes
  • Max Gonzalez — 7 votes

Asa Ward emerged as the voters' choice after a competitive campaign that saw support distributed among seven candidates.  The top seven candidates were elected to the West Who Senate.

Mayor of Whoville

The election for Mayor of the nation's capital produced another close finish.

Final Results:

  • Jemmy Yu — 21 votes (29.2%)
  • Nicholas Scattaglia — 18 votes (25%)
  • Scott Maywho Beidler — 12 votes (16.7%)
  • Shubham Srivastava — 11 votes (15.3%)
  • Davide Coscia — 8 votes (11.1%)
  • Pugh Jacob — 2 votes (2.8%)

Jemmy Yu secured the office with a plurality of the vote in the six-candidate field.

Regional Governors

Citizens also elected regional governors to represent West Who's growing international community.

Asia

  • Haris Khan — 41 votes (53.9%)
  • Unnikrishnan Parangath — 35 votes (46.1%)

Africa

  • Anthony Ezeimo — 69 votes (86.3%)
  • None of the Above — 11 votes (13.8%)

North America

  • Benjamin Snow — 65 votes (82.3%)
  • None of the Above — 14 votes (17.7%)

Europe

  • Nicola Pillonetto — 68 votes (85%)
  • None of the Above — 12 votes (15%)

A Growing Democracy

The 2026 National Elections demonstrated the continued strength and maturity of West Who's democratic institutions. Several races featured large candidate fields and competitive vote totals, giving citizens meaningful choices for nearly every elected office. The presidential contest, in particular, brought together eight candidates representing a wide range of ideas and visions for the nation's future.

With the election complete, President Ronald Hall and the newly elected officials will begin serving their terms with a mandate to continue expanding West Who's international community, strengthen its institutions, and build upon the nation's reputation as one of the world's most active and engaged micronations.
