West Who gets a National Flower
West Who voters decided that the country did indeed need a national flower. The Bird of Paradise or Crane flower was the choice of 88% of voters in a recent national ballot. Pictured here is the new national flower in the West Who Botanical Gardens. The Bird of Paradise flower grows well in West Who's climate. The Crane flower originates in South Africa. Conservation Director Margaret Neiderer noted that Foreign Minister Michael Farr recently returned from a diplomatic mission to South Africa. Farr has been working to develop relations with South Africa.
