Where the Buffalo Roam

11/16/2023 18:26

John Farr, the Minister of Citizen Affairs, and his spouse recently explored a unique place a mere 15 miles from the West Who border, where a group of buffalo, also known as American bison, roams. Residing on safeguarded grounds within a fish and wildlife preserve, this small herd of buffalo serves as a testament to conservation efforts undertaken over the past 50 years.  In the past, North America was home to millions of buffalo, but widespread hunding nearly led to their extinction.   Today, a number of these resilient animals thrive in designated sanctuaries.  Farr recounded an unusual moment during  their visit, sharing that a buffalo leisurely crossed the road, stopping for several minutes just inches away from their car.  He marveled at the colossal size of  these animals, comparing them to a small car.  The encounter left a lasting impression on him, describing it as incredible.
